Proof Through the Night is a nonpartisan voter education and empowerment website. It was created by Tim Cimino with the help of a lot of people, mostly in Pittsburgh. These include Mark Zottola, Marcia Bandes, Thomas Gantzer and Eric Magill, a blogger in Bethlehem PA.
Proof Through the Night is a project of Group Genie, a nonprofit organization founded by Tim Cimino. The mission of Group Genie is to create, develop and spread knowledge and methods that helps people to make the best, most loving use of their lives.
Tim had the initial inspiration for PTTN in 2005. He purchased the domain name from Scott Albert Johnson for $176.60 (in honor of 1776). Scott had used the name for some post-9/11 concerts in Washington DC.
Tim’s vision for the site is that it be a nonpartisan voter education and empowerment project. Like most people, he has been concerned for years about the negative trends in politics. This dissatisfaction led to Proof Through the Night.
